The Objective of the CWRA:   ”The object of the Association shall be to provide democratic representation, deputation and guidance for the preservation and the betterment of the quality of life in Concord West and of the community as a whole, and the protection of its natural environment. The Association does not engage in partisan politics including, but not limited to, candidates running for public office during municipal, provincial or federal elections, elected officials and/or Trustees, from either the Public or the Separate School Boards.  Any Director or member of the Executive Committee of the Association wishing to support either a candidate or elected official or Trustee must make it clear that he/she is acting on its own behalf and not as a representative of this Association.” Article 2 of the CWRA Constitution

SAVE CONCORD WEST! Our community is presently engaged in a David & Goliath struggle to save from destruction the Concord West Greenspace – a natural heritage and Upper Don headwater land continuous with the Bartley Smith Greenway, and which our residents have walked in and enjoyed for generations. The very existence of this greenspace (and, in fact, of our community) is presently threatened by the Ministry of Transportation’s plans to locate on this land an intermodal transit hub.
